Cannot execute binary file

I am a new user to SuSE and am having problems running an executable. This particular .exe was built in Windows, using a utility that can create executables to run on both Windows and Linux. When I try running the .exe from the Konsole, I receive the following error:

bash: ./test.exe: cannot execute binary file

I performed a chmod to give full access and I still receive that error. Why can't I run this .exe? When I type "file test.exe" it says:

test.exe: MS Windows PE 32-bit Intel 80386 console executable not relocatable

So you have done a "chmod +x file"?

If so, then its not executable in Linux. You must have built it wrong. I havent really seen any crossplatform binaries that dont need any recompiling.

It's an executable file, try this:

wine file.exe

A windows executable file cannot be executed, but wine will execute it if it is installed on your system.
