Cannot determine dependencies of module

I'm tring to compile a linux kernel version and everything goes fine. But when I try to make the initrd I'm getting the following error. Cud someone pls examplin me the reason behind this error?

# mkinitrd -k vmlinuz-2.6.19 -i initrd-2.6.19
Root device: /dev/sda7 (mounted on / as reiserfs)
Module list: ata_piix processor thermal fan reiserfs (xennet xenblk)

Kernel image: /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.19
Initrd image: /boot/initrd-2.6.19
Shared libs: lib/ld-2.4.so lib/libacl.so.1.1.0 lib/libattr.so.1.1.0 lib/libc-2.4.so lib/libdl-2.4.so lib/libhistory.so.5.1 lib/libncurses.so.5.5 lib/libpthread-2.4.so lib/libreadline.so.5.1 lib/librt-2.4.so lib/libuuid.so.1.2

Cannot determine dependencies of module ata_piix. Is modules.dep up to date?

After compiling the kernel, and before running initrd, did you run '/sbin/depmod -A' to generate a new modules.dep file?

That seems to be what the error is about.
