iam using fedora 9 i686 on my i386 system.i tried to build mplayer.however i got the following error while doing make:

dct64_sse.c:73: error: can't find a register in class 'GENERAL_REGS' while reloading 'asm'
dct64_sse.c:102: error: can't find a register in class 'GENERAL_REGS' while reloading 'asm'
dct64_sse.c:48: error: 'asm' operand has impossible constraints
dct64_sse.c:48: error: 'asm' operand has impossible constraints

mplayer worked fine on previous fedora 7& 8 i386 versions..could f9 i686
be the reason for such an error.plz help..

Hi.Have you tried using the latest version of mplayer ?Try typing this into a terminal
svn checkout svn://svn.mplayerhq.hu/mplayer/trunk mplayer
This will give you the latest version.It might solve your problem.

sorry i haven't configured net connection yet since i have got a broadcom chip that sure is a headache to connect and will take time...so i can't get help directly from net or do yum..any other suggestion
