Cannot boot into XP after installing Red Hat 8

hello everyone. i know what you are going to say. WHY WINDOWS XP? i just got the copy of red hat and i wanted to see how it works and to learn it. in the mean time i have some programs for work that i need to use for now.

i have 2 hard drives. one 6 gig drive which is drive hd0 and an 80 gig drive which is hd1. every time i try to boot into windows i get this on my screen

Booting 'DOS'
rootnoverify (hd1,0)
chain loader +1

can anyone help. i promise after i learn linux i will be taking off XP. thank you

here is my grub.conf file if this helps

why don't u use lilo and free up ur mind

Becuase grub is the default bootloader for RedHat 8.0, and unless you already know about lilo, you're unlikely to get to that stage of the install and go 'hmmm, no I think I will use lilo instead'.

Fiburglas, check out the last post of this and see if it works in your case too:

I tried to make that change from that post you told me about and it did not work. should i just reinstall and use LILO? if so will that cause more problems? thank you grant for your help.
