I guess you set the security level TOO high at install. You should use standard or minimal. Then your users can connect to the Web.

If you don't know what something means, use the default/suggested settings.

Ok, so you're saying that my security level is too high.
Right,how do i change that?

presumably you are talking about the security settings?
they're only to do with the firewall,are they not?

If you login and get into KDE as Root, then run the UserDrak or go to configuration in the menu and it should be there under a User configuration. See, I ran into tons of options in the User configs under the Configuration section in the Main menu. I'm running Mandrake 9.1.
