Can X clients under Wayland use proprietary drivers?
 

I know that proprietary graphics drivers from ATI/AMD and NVidia won't work under Wayland (and that it is indeed limited to OpenGL ES for now). But apparently X can run rootless under Wayland. So - can these drivers be used for rootless X (so that X applications can still use them)?
