Can Wine and WineX co-exist?

Hi, I built Wine from source then installed as a slackware package (check install) and later I acquired WineX through CVS, compiled then make install just to find out later that the 2 programs got their configuration messed up with each other running wine caused an error message. Now I uninstalled the first using removepkg and the latter with make uninstall to get rid of this madness. The question is can I have these 2 pograms staying together? Thanks
