Can transparency be set in the latest version of Dropline GNOME?

Just wondering how to do it, if it's possible.. Also, what else can be done? I am completely new to gnome, and I'm just curious..

That might help. I see people aren't answering this, since you have the same question opened twice now So I figured I'd give my 2 cents.

If you have xorg-6.8.x, you can use xcompmgr to make everything transparent
