If [u]AND ONLY IF[/u ]this is legal, Can anyone make me ISO images of SuSE 8 Pro or something please? I honestly don't know if this is legal in the case of SuSE. If it is, would someone be kind enough to help me out?
Of course it's legal. I don't have the disks though, basically your asking someone who bought the disks to make a copy for you. Thats fine, but I would be inclined to hassle suse to release an ISO image set for download. In fact I have in the past and plan to do so again soon
Cool. Thanx for the info. My Request for the copy of SuSE 8 is still there. Please if anyone has bought SuSE 8.0 Professional, would he/she be kind eough to make ISO images for me? Thanx beforehand.
Also, I don't know about hassling SuSE. Their contact information is only for partners and corporations, etc...
Dude, I am no expert, but if you have the bandwidth to d/l an iso don't you think you probably have enough for the ftp install? Not to be a joy-kill or anything, but have you tried that yet? I haven't so I am just guessing, but I doubt it's very rough. Suse provides instructions on their website for it.
I can only see 1 problem with the iso idea for you though, 1 of the disks is a DVD. I think that unless you have a DVD burner, then an iso of it won't help you much.
How much do you think it'd cost me to send you 7 CDs over from Europe?
Get the prices, tell me how much it is, and I might be able to make you nice copies, I'd have to do it on sh!ty CDs tho cuz I'm not gonna spend 15 € on the blank CDs.
Would you create ISO images and upload them to a server in the UK?
I can compensate you with an FTP account and access to my p2p shared files. I'll even turn off my p2p networking stuff for a few days so you get full bandwidth. I've an ADSL connection. You might have to share with shassouneh though
I haven't got ADSL yet, but since you're in the UK it might be cheaper for me to make the CDs and send them directly to you so you can upload them to your FTP server. What's your e-mail address anyway mate.
We've had a bit of an email session and Daddy Sned is going to send me the disks. I'll then create some images and put the images on the FTP server I'll post the address after the CD's have arrived. Monitor this thread for updates
