can some one enlighten me on this parted problem?

since i dont have windows any more, just a vfat partition, i tried using parted to resize my ext3 partition. Now I know that i cannot move the start, that's why I created the ext3 partition to be the first one. Anyway, I booted with a bootdisk so the root partition was not used, and proceeded to resize it. however i didnt go very far because it spit this error:

Code:
Filesystem has incompatiable feature enabled
i thought it might be because of ext3 so i changed it to ext2. Still nothing.
So how did you guys resize your partitions?

Hi!

Have you seen the QTParted project ?

http://qtparted.sourceforge.net/

ps... You might want to check out the Logical Volume Management capabilities of some current Linux versions (I know that Red Hat Linux 9 has this feature). Logical Volume Management is a really flexible way to grow your partitions and allows for some really neat features with additional physical disks..

ps. The next version of Linux (Linux 2.6) will have more support for online resizing of ext2 / ext3 partitions ("http://kernelnewbies.org/status/latest.html").

Good luck!
