Can not boot up x window


sir,
i have installed redhat linux 9 currently, but when booting in x window, screen show a graphic for seconds and then it turn into text mode and error occur.

error message:
Failed to start the display server several times in a short time period;
disabling display:0

my pc config:
PIII 750
via 694 chip main board
192mb ram
nvidna tnt2 32mb agp display
17" philips crt monitor
40gb harddisk
-4gb for ext3 as "\"
-500mb for swap

please help

common problems are

xfs not started
hostname mismatch
insufficient diskspace

Suggest you rename XF86Config in /etc/X11 and re-run redhat-config-XFree86 (hope I got it right).

but how to modify and what name whould i rename it?
