Can "minimize all windows" aka <windows>-m be emulated in Fedora Linux?

I like the windows "desktop" icon because I can minimize all windows at once. Can this be done in Linux somehow. I would like it to be an icon in the taskbar. Sorry for all the Windows terminology. I am new to Linux and determined to stay.

KDE has a "show desktop" button.

It depends on what window manager you're using. KDE and Gnome both have a "show desktop" icon (if it's not already there, you should be able to add it by right-clicking the panel). Nearly every other window manager supports the concept of multiple desktops; if you want a fresh desktop, just switch to another workspace.

Thanks Tinkster, but I am using Fedora with Gnome desktop. I dont really care about what desktop I use but Gnome just came as default and it is nice enough. Is there a way to do this with Gnome?

THanks wapcaplet. I found the button for the Gnome desktop.

For those reading this post for a solution:

Right click the toolbar/taskbar like wapcaplet said.
Select Add --> Special Button --> Show Desktop
The button will appear and it looks like the Windows XP button strangely enough.
