Can Krusader be better ?

Just using Krusader (stable debian) , and I'd have some thinking ab. it. It's not that great. What about you ?
Key shortcuts weird or not working, slow, and not pleasant to work with.

You like it ?

(please indicate which release/version)

I like it because it really has a lot of features, is very customizable and the action menu can be easily expanded without making .desktop service menus. For me especially the file splitting function was useful (among others).

I dislike it because some features (appearance) cannot be saved and have to be manually restored every time. Even more I dislike the long startup time (5 seconds or so on 1st start on a very modern and fast system).

I only use krusader with a special profile now, which has several tabs open on start (with needed folders). For most random things I use konqueror. I have created scripts over the time for everything I do frequently and added those to konqueror via service menus.
