I'm using eclipse on kubuntu gutsy (from packages and from the plain instaler as well) and there's a problem.
Code:
$ /usr/bin/eclipse
searching for compatible vm...
testing /usr/lib/jvm/java-gcj...not found
testing /usr/lib/kaffe/pthreads...not found
testing /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun...found
Could not create /usr/local/lib/eclipse/.eclipseextension. Please run as root:
touch /usr/local/lib/eclipse/.eclipseextension
chmod 2775 /usr/local/lib/eclipse/.eclipseextension
chown root:staff /usr/local/lib/eclipse/.eclipseextension

There's a problem with gtk+, right?
If I'm not wrong instead of the "native" gtk+ library, KDE uses its own, right?
Can it be avoided to "force" eclipse to use gnome's "native" one?
