Wink can jigdo updated an iso image from a previous version to a new one??

hi guys....

can anyone explain to me does jigdo can do something like what the thread subject i wrote above??

I'm trying to update my copy of iso image debian 501 to debian 502 through jigdo.

can it be done?

or jigdo can only update something that use the same filename??

If can how?

Already see the jigdo Howto for debian, it doesn't help me much..

Thanks guys.

I have used jigdo to create Fedora discs and at the beginning of the creation process you are asked if you have a previous iso or something to to that effect and it will use that to help build the new image.

That is of course that there are packages on the older image that are useable which there will most likely be. Try it.

EDIT: found some info I saved from using jigdo to create Fedora discs

If you already have a previous version of the CD you are
downloading, jigdo can re-use files on the old CD that are also
present in the new image, and you do not need to download them
again. Mount the old CD ROM and enter the path it is mounted under
(e.g. `/mnt/cdrom').
Alternatively, just press enter if you want to start downloading
the remaining files.
