Can I run 2 instances of Firefox?

i finally convinced my wife that firefox is the way to go. But she likes having her own browser and I like having mine. Different bookmarks, look, etc...

is there anyway to have it installed twice. I tried installing in a different folder, but it will still associate with the Firefox already installed.

I don't want to have 2 different logins for Linux either.

One of the main reasons for having seperate logins is precisely that each user *can* have their own settings for system-wide applications. What's the problem with having a login each? It will solve your problem at a stroke.

You can create another profile in firefox for your wife to use. Use:
Code:
firefox -P
to create a profile and
Code:
firefox -P profilename
to run firefox using that profile.

Regards
