google for curlftpfs. You can use it with fusermount. And mount it same as sshfs etc. Sorry, not enough time on my side to wirte an example. You should be able to find one easily though.

So, can I do it this way?

Code:

//xx.xx.xx.xx/somefolder  /mnt/ftpfolder  cifs defaults,user,rw  0    0
Is that correct to mount ftp server folders on your computer?

I have a web server in www.fatcow.com and there I created a ftp folder that I want to mount to my computer, but I cannot. I tried this. I typied it in FSTAB

Code:

//65.254.254.77        /mnt/ftpfiles        -o password="somepass"            username="someuser"          user,auto,rw          0          0
When when I type mount -a in terminal, it tells me that my 17 line, which is line above is incorrect.

Any solution to my problem?

ftp is not a file system. It is a simple transfer protocol with a listening server, so it cannot be mounted. Run `cat /proc/filesystems` - these are the filesystems that your computer can mount. As an alternative you can use NFS or even better SSHFS.

Ok, thank you. Now I know It is impossible to mount it in /mnt as it was a folder from you PC

I just have seen that it is possible. Look at this link

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1036636

But I have one problem when I try mount

Code:

Error connecting to ftp: QUOT command failed with 500
Any idea?

You will still need to install the fuse on the client; fuse is the file system in user space (FUSE). However with fuse you should really use SSHFS and not FTP. sshfs will do everything that ftp does an better and more secure. Another alternative is NFS or CIFS.
