Can I create a empty /etc/ld.so.preload ?

Hello,

I am using LIDS on your system and it is complaining about programs trying to access /etc/ld.so.preload. This file does not exist, I tried to find out more information on why this file would exist but have not been able to.

What would happen if I just created a empty file using touch (/etc/ld.so.preload ) would the apps just continue on using /etc/ld.so.cacheas they do now ??

Thanks.

Michael.

Hello,

I created a empty ld.so.preload file and it seems to of solved the problem. No more complaints and the apps don't care.

Michael.
