can amarok save my place in track

in itunes, when i'm listening to a podcast, then actually have to work, my place is saved so i can come back to it later with no fuss. is this possible in amarok?

Settings menu -> configure Amarok... -> Playback (in pane on left) -> Resume playback on start (check).

thank you, matthew, that is better. however, in the middle of a session, while choosing to preview or listen to other tracks in the middle of playback, is there a way to auto-resume my play position? that would be better than better, it would be awesome.

I don't understand what you mean.

I'm sorry, I can get in the habit of being less than crystal clear. What I mean is, not only when I close Amarok itself, but merely stop the playing track for any reason, what I would love is that whenever I decide to resume playing that particular track, it would resume playing exactly where I left off automatically.

Rather than simply playing the track I left off listening to prior to closing Amarok, picking up at the proper place; which is much better than not at all.

When listening to a particularly long audio book chapter, then deciding to listen to phone message mp3's, or another playlist, in between getting back to the book, or long podcast, if Amarok would automatically remember if and where I finished playback and resume, that would be nice.

**apologies for run-on sentences** Thank You

Ah, I think I understand. Sort of like multi-track memory for the pause button?

As far as I know there is not such as feature. It sounds like it would be useful though. Please consider raising a feature request for it.
