can acidrip rip support smp?

Hi i've searched on here and can find nothing regarding acidrip and smp support. can it support it and if so how do i enable it?

i've three smp systems, in windoze using auto gordian knot , the combined cpu load is constantly at 89-97% after the dvd2avi program runs(the first of the components), this falls back to 2% when the job is finished so it completes in approximately 3/5th's of the time.

In linux i'm getting just under a combined 60% going further only one cpu is under full load.

Please help if you can as my life is almost free of using windoze. ad-adware informed me it's been 19 days since i updated the definitian files. which would have been the last time i booted into xp. The only reason i keep windows around these days is for the odd dvd rip here and there, for 1 to 1 copies nero recode is the dogs (in association with the use of dvdidle), perhaps you can offer an alternative for linux.?

thanks in advance.

sory i didn't reply sooner, only just found this.

Acidrip is only a UI wrapper, not an encoder. the encoder is Mencoder, part of mplayer. MPLayer is not a multithreaded program, and as such (afaik) can't really benefit from an SMP system.
