I am using Gaim version 1.01 and cannot send files through MSN to another user on MSN. The other users I have tried to send files to have either been using MSN Messanger or Kopete. I have tried disabling the firewall and throwing myself on the DMZ of my router. Still no luck. Could it be something that didn't get into the ./configure?
I never said it was a new feature. And don't be an ass about it, I do know about email but that was not the question I had. If you're not going to give a decent response please do not even respond at all.
my guess is to find out which port is used for file transfers and to configure your firewall to open that port. or something like that. check the gaim preferences. i don't use gaim at all anymore, so i don't really know. i know amsn uses port 6891 for the starting port for file transfers. maybe that's standard for msn.
