Can't open the scanned file


Hello,
I'm using an Acer FlatbedScanner 22 . When I scan a file, the file opens just fine.However, the file won't open in my windows pc.
what is the problem?

There is really no way to answer that

What format is the output of the scanner ?
a tif or ppm or pdf or ??? what ?????

and HOW !!! are you trying to access the file form a linux OS to a windows OS ?
copy to a usb drive ?
copy to a cd ?
samba share ?
how ?

I would say that you have to setup your office to automatically save documents in msformat.
Go to Tools>>Options>>Load/Save>>General & change the way it saves.
Also check the settings that John VV said to check.

I actually tried all the formats you said.
I use FTP to send the file over LAN
I also used FTP to upload the file to my site, but it won't work
I'm actually new to linux :\

here are the commands I used to scan :

Sudo scanimage --resolution=50 --format tif > ~/test.tif
Sudo scanimage --resolution=50 --format JFIF > ~/test.jpg
Sudo scanimage --resolution=50 > ~/test.pnm

Please tell me if there is something wrong with them

I'm using a Raspberry pi micro-controller , I need to do all of the stuff using the command line only.
