Can't mount .iso file

Hi i'm trying to mount a .iso file but i'm getting some errors.
Here it is...

Code:

c5:~# mount -t iso9660 -o loop battlefield1.iso /mnt/image/
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/loop0,
       missing codepage or other error
       In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail  or so

c5:~#

On dmesg i get

Code:

Unable to identify CD-ROM format.

How can i solve this?

But that is talking about mounting a cdrom. I can mount cdrom, but can't mount .iso files.

Odd. You might try putting the full path to your iso file, eg:

c5:~# mount -t iso9660 -o loop ./battlefield1.iso /mnt/image/

That's about the only thing I can think of...

hmmm not working

Have already tried lotssss of images, but none of them are working.

Is it just this one iso? Could be you simply have a corrupted file. The command you're using to mount it is the same command I've used many times myself. How was this iso file created? The specific command used, if you know that.

Also, run "file" on your iso, and make sure it says the file is really an iso:

% file test.iso                                                     7:40PM
test.iso: ISO 9660 CD-ROM filesystem data

If not, then the iso probably is corrupted.
