Can't install xChat

I'm trying to install xchat version 2.0.5

When I type "./confugre", I get this error:

Quote:
configure: WARNING: you should use --build, --host, --target checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c checking whether build environment is sane... yes checking for gawk... gawk checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes checking whether to enable maintainer-specific portions of Makefiles... no checking for configure-gcc... no checking for gcc... no checking for configure-cc... no checking for cc... no checking for cc... no checking for configure-cl... no checking for cl... no configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH See `config.log' for more details.
Can anyone tell me what the problem is, and the solution?

Thanks in advance.

Good thing you're using mandrake 9.1

Go to your mandrake control center>software>add RPM>then search for xchat and it will install it for you. However, I doin't know if it's exactly the version you want but maybe you can update easily by downloading a new xchat RPM.

Let me know if it works.
