Can't get to GUI login screen on Fedora

Recently I have had to reinstall GNOME3 (presumably due to something getting corrupted) but this hasn't fixed my inability to login via GUI, I can still log in through CLI. Normally I would be fine with this but I use multiple desktop environments and I haven't figured out A way how to start A different desktop environment through the CLI. I'm running Fedora 26 btw.

First see if other desktop environments (DE) are installed on your system:

  dnf list installed | grep environment

If the DE you want is not there then see how Fedora calls it:

  dnf grouplist -v

Then you install it, e.g.

  dnf install @cinnamon-desktop-environment

After this, I am not sure of the procedures. I think you should run

Code:

  systemctl set-default graphical.target

in order to get it to work, or you should add a few lines to /etc/X11/xinit/Xclients

Let's see the errors from /var/log/Xorg.0.log in a little bit of context. Please don't post all the crap that works out fine.
