Thanks for the reply. I've managed to not use LPD and only using CUPS.
But I still can't print.
I think the error lies within the Red Hat Printer configuration.
When I choose a printer, I have to choose if the printer is connected through CUPS (IPP), UNIX (LPD), Windows (SMB), Novell (NCP) or JetDirect.
Logically I choose CUPS (IPP) here, after making my selection I have to enter the following things: "Server" and "Path".
I don't have a clue what I should type here since my printer is a network printer and is not connected to any computer, it's connected directly to the switch.
By default the "Server" row is empty and the "Path" row says: "/printers/queue1"
I don't have a clue what that is. Anyone know what I should put there?
And one more thing, how do I install a new printer driver in Red Hat? For CUPS I just copy a PDD file to the cups/model folder, but how to I make the Red Hat Printer Configuration tool to recognize a new driver?
Thanks for any help
