Can't find any libraries..?

I just tried to install the nVidia video drives (rebuilt from source) with the command 'rpm -ivh, and all I get are failed dependencies; alot of them (more than what I saw when I was on a Mandrake or RedHat system). This is on a Slackware 8.0 system with the 2.4.18 kernel.

I'll do a 'find / -name' for the dependencies it claims to have been not found and they'll all turn up between /usr/lib or /lib..

Is there some enviromental var I can assign to have 'rpm' find the libs where they really are..?

well natively slack doesn't do to well with rpm's, its usually recommended to run the rpm2targz to change the the rpm file into a tar.gz.. or run the nodeps and force options if your gonna use the rpm file..

i would recommend finding the drivers in a tar.gz format though.. less painful.
