Can't use XCursor themes.

I have suse linux 8.2, and I can't get the xcursor themes to work. I've tried changing folders/files in both the X11 directory and my home directory. I have the theme I want to use in both 'icons/.icons' directories. Yet it still won't apply my changes to the cursor. Can anyone help me out?

Try add:

Xcursor.theme: whiteglass

to your .Xdefaults (hidden file) in your home dir, logout and login again.

Have fun :-)

Yeah, I have 4.3 - it's standard with SuSE 8.2. I'm sure it's installed because it was even installed with the redglass and whiteglass themes. I tried the .Xdefaults thing and it didn't work; still the same old static black cursor. Has anyone else had problems like this?
