can't setup from binar mplayer on fedora 4

Please help me. I'm new in Linux and I can't setup home mplayer on Linux Fedora Core 4 from binary files.
The steps that I do:
1. Unpack tar archive somewhere on the hdd
2. ./configure --disable-gcc-checking
3. make

And here come errors:

libpostproc/postprocess_template.c:3781: warning: pointer targets in passing argument 4 of ‘tempNoiseReducer_MMX2’ differ in signedness
make[1]: *** [libpostproc/postprocess.o] Ошибка 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/mnt/d/Soft/nix/Multimedia/mplayer/mplayer/libavcodec'
make: *** [libavcodec/libavcodec.a] Ошибка 2

What I do wrong?

You can install mplayer in FC4 using yum. Start here, http://rpm.greysector.net/mplayer/yum.html. Follow the link to set up your yum configuration to use the repository with mplayer.

Once you've set up yum to use the appropriate repository, do this:
  1. Open a terminal.
  2. Log in as root.
  3. Type yum install mplayer or yum install mplayer-gui

That should pretty much do it. Unless, of course, you're bent on installing it from source.
