can't send email, smtp or sendmail


hi all

i just installed fedora core 4

i installed sendmail from the fc4 dvd, and postfix

i started up evolution and i can receive email ok (also tried thunderbird)
but i cannot send email through smtp, or sendmail
smtp never connects to the smtp server (i know it works as i use the same account on windows with no issues)

and sendmail says it sent, but the email never arrives

can anyone help me out

dtra,

you might want to check your Spam or Junk folder. When I first setup my mail server last week. Every mail I sent from my server to my Yahoo account. It was marked as spam by Yahoo mail server.
