Can't seem to disable SHMConfig

Hello all,

Im using FC5 and I am trying to get syndaemon to work on my machine. Of course just running syndaemon I was prompte with the following message:

Can't access shared memory area. SHMConfig disabled?

I am now in the process of trying to disable SHMConfig on my system.

I edited my xorg.conf file to add the following entry in the synaptics InputDevice section:

Option "SHMConfig" "False"

I rebooted and tried to start syndaemon and I get the same message about disabling SHMConfig.

I have also tried using:

Option "SHMConfig" "Off"

But still with no luck.

Can anyone tell me what I can do to turn SHMConfig off so that syndaemon will run?

You misunderstood the error message. SHMConfig has to be turned on.
