Unhappy can't save or open files

I don't know what happend. All of a sudden I my programes crashes when I open the save/open dialog.
I get this error:

'geany: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_utf8_collate_key_for_filename

It is all my programmes that crashes.
I tried to install gtk and gtk+ again but nothing happend, I also tried replacing libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0
but still nothing. What is wrong?

Could you be a little more specific. I assume it's some editor that crashes...? If so, what are you using?

its not just my editor (geany) its also firefox, azureus, the gimp etc.
well azureus won't even start.
all of them give me the same error.

EDIT: didn't answer your question. I am trying to save to a location on my hdd. Or open a file. And as soon as the save/open dialog appears the program crashes.

EDIT: Now I can download with firefox, as long as I dont make the save-dialog show my home folder...?

now it just doesn't make any sense... i tried installing gtk+ again and it worked.. for some time, then it broke again, then worked again after I installed gtk+ once more..
