can't run ./install scripts, permission denited as root

I am trying to install an antivirus program. I have a ./install script, beut when I run as root I get permission denied. How do I fix it?

ls -l and see if the install script has execute permission. If not then do someting like:

chmod a+x <scriptnamehere>

If it's on a CD-ROM and you can't chmod it then just run it with:

sh <scriptnamehere>
