Can't reproduce .rmvb files with Mplayer in openSuSE 11

Hi folks! I have a "serious" problem with this kind of files. I try to reproduce them with RealPlayer (the one that comes installed by default with oss 11) and it lags from time to time.
Since I never liked realplayer, I made some research and found out that mplayer can play this kind of media, the problem is that I don't have the codecs needed for it.
I've searched with yast to see if there was any package that could solve my problem, but my search was unsuccessful. So I found a bunch of codecs in the mplayer's homepage, but the problem is that I don't know where to locate them (tried with rp9codecs-20050115.tar.bz2). Tried in /usr/lib/win32 with no luck.

Is there any other directory to put these codecs?
Also, do I have to do something else besides just to copy the codecs to it's corresponding location, (such as extra config)?

Any help will be welcomed.

Thanks to all in advance!!

Cheers!

Maybe try /usr/local/lib/codecs. Just copying them into there should work.

Thank you my friends for your help! I have recently made some modifications to my system and I currently don't have suse installed, so I won't be able to test your solutions. Thanks anyway and when I test them, I'll comment the results.

Thanksss
