I hear a friend of mine having trouble with this as well. I use gaim. No trouble at all with sending files. It's probably something in amsn itself. Maybe you need to consider another client?
aMSN works perfectly....gitarr, if you have a router, make sure the port is open. You should be able to open them. There are also some ISP that block some ports on their firewalls/routers. If that's the case, call them and tell them to open MSN transfer ports (6891:6899).
