Can't print or scan with Fedora 1
HP DJ 842C and Epson Perfection 1650 were working under RH8. Under Fedora 1, "No vlaid print executable found in path. Check your installation" and when I try to make a new printer queue, "Failed to write queues." "Could not send command to scanner" results from iscan.
Loaded Tedora on another box and it runs LaserJet 3300 with no problems. Could skipping RH9 on this box have caused the print and scan problems? |
did you install the HP print drivers on fedora core1 instalation ?

Yes, I installed the usual driver for the 842C. After I posted my original question, I saw a recommendation for Turboprint so downloaded and installed that, and I still get the message about not having a valid executable in the path. I checked and turboprint-bin is in /usr/bin, which is in my path.
