Can't print anything from Gimp

I've been having sudden printer troubles on my main 2 distros, openSUSE 10.2 and sidux.
I've finally managed to get things working and I can print from various different apps but not gimp in either distro.
I go to the print dialogue and my printer is listed and I set it printing but nothing ever happens. The print dialogue closes and there are no errors or anything.
If I look at the jobs in printer settings (kde) there's nothing there.

You will probably have to go through the Gimp printer setup dialogue and set up a printer definition for the Gimp. When you select a driver, be careful to select the gimp-print.ppd for your printer.
