Two questions:

1) When I try go to the Play Queue and choose Music->Load from File->(click on .pls file created previously in rhythmbox), rhythmbox closes on me. It also fails to open when I right click the .pls file and choose "Open with rhythmbox". How can I fix this?

2) When I open the .pls file in the text editor, sometimes I see that it has saved the location of the mp3 files with url addresses instead of the location of the file in my computer e.g.
File1=http://aud1.kpfa.org/data/20090309-Mon1300.mp3
How can I configure it so that it saves it always saves the location of the podcast file on my pc?

I'm running Desktop Ubuntu. Thanks.

1) Open the file with a text editor
2) Copy the url
3) Open Rhythmbox
4) Select Music > New Radio Station
5) Paste the url in the box
6) Click Add

but time to reopen the thread for 12.10. installed on a new computer and can't get rhythmbox to open any of the stations that i can listen to on 10.04. same story with vlc and totem.
