Hello,
Yesterday when I was doing my job, the electrics shutdown suddenly and my computer was shutdown. After that I began experiencing problems. The main problem was that X server couldn't open because it couldn't open unix:7100 (or something like that) so it can't render fonts.. it said it can't find font fixed etc.. so i disabled this option in XF86Config file.. Now X Window is working and I don't see any view change in fonts.
Another problem is that I can't login my session in X Windows... Here what is says: (I got it in .xsession-errors file..
/etc/X11/gdm/PreSession/Default: Registering your session with wtmp and utmp
/etc/X11/gdm/PreSession/Default: running: /usr/bin/X11/sessreg -a -w /var/log/wtmp -u /var/run/utmp -x "/var/gdm/:0.Xservers" -h "" -l ":0" "tunix"
mkdtemp: private socket dir: Permission denied
What can I do ? I can login via the root account to X... I don't want to re-install the whole Fedora distribution because it's very difficult to update all those packages again. (my connection is slow these days
)
Waiting for coming suggestions... Thanx..
