Can't launch Firefox

A few days ago I decided to try Minefield 3.5. It was nice but some colors were wrong. I got tired of seeing purple people and pink and blue giraffes so I went back to using Firefox. Now I can't use that. When I click on my Firefox icon, it keeps bringing up Minefield. I've removed Minefield and when I try to launch Firefox I get the message "Failed to execute child process "firefox" (No such file or directory)". I've even un-installed and re-installed Firefox but no dice. I had to re-install Minefield just to get on here. I used "whereis firefox" and came up with
Code:
/usr/bin/firefox /usr/lib/firefox /usr/lib64/firefox /usr/share/firefox

Can you paste the error message in this forum? Just you the below one.

First you should uninstall both Firefox and Minefield and then verified it. Then install the firefox rpm.

"Failed to execute child process "firefox" (No such file or directory)" was the error code.

I installed firefox-3.5 from the repositories.

I fixed the problem. What I had been doing was using apt-get remove firefox. That wasn't working so I used apt-get remove firefox-3.0 and then re-installed it, and now it works. One thing is weird though, when I click down on the scroll wheel I sometimes get the message "The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded." and sometimes I just go to my last visited page... This never happened before. In the past when I pressed down on the scroll wheel nothing happened unless my mouse pointer was on a link, in that case it, it opened the link in a new tab (and it still does, I want to keep that.)
