Can't install Ubuntu 32/64 bits OS on Intel Pentium M laptop

with ubuntu 32 bit OS, laptop says PAE disabled on this Pentium M. This kernel requires following features not present on CPU

with ubuntu 64 bit, it says it requires x86-64 CPU.

So, either 32/64 can't installed. how to fix this?

this is normal.

non-pae computers are not supported by all distros anymore.

if i'm not mistaken, a pentium means i486 architecture, i prepared a search for you on distrowatch - as you can see there's still many distros that will run on such old hardware - just not ubuntu.
trust me, you wouldn't be able to use ubuntu on such an old laptop anyway.

Although it is possible to persuade Ubuntu to run on a non-pae CPU, Ubuntu on a Pentium M (even if it had enough memory) would probably run in wounded snail mode! I suggest you install AntiX. If you have 512 MB of RAM, you can use AntiX MX; if you have less, get the basic version of AntiX. As the proud owner of an IBM Thinkpad with a Pentium M, I can assure you that your laptop will run very nicely with Linux, although the boot may take longer than XP did.

CentOS 5.11 will install on a Pentium M 486

centos6.7 might with 512meg ram if you use a lightweight desktop

Debian 7 should with a lightweight desktop

I recommended AntiX because I know Ubuntu and CentOS are sluggish on a Pentium M from my own experience. All my advice is based on experience, unless I say so. As for "Debian with a light-weight desktop", that's just what AntiX is!
