Can't install Google Chrome on OpenSUSE 12.1

I have downloaded the .rpm for chrome, but can't install it by any means.
I've tried the one click dl and letting apper install it...no good.
zypper...no good.
yast...no good.

Anyone got any ideas here?
Firefox crashes every time I close it, but it works.
I just prefer Chrome.
Thanks in advance.

The 32bits Suse 12.1 :
1) su
2) zypper in lsb
3) rpm -Uvh google-chrome-stable_current_i386.rpm

The 64bits Suse 12.1 : The same for 1) and 2)
3) is a different package :
rpm -Uvh google-chrome-stable_current_x86_64.rpm

.

Ok so I followed the instructions for the i386.rpm and this is the output I got back:

error: open of google-chrome-stable_current_i386.rpm failed: No such file or directory

What's next?

Well, either you don't have the package ?
Or downloaded it to a location like Desktop/ or Downloads/ :

The command to show your location is : pwd
... When you know your location, use 'cd' to go to the downloaded package:
cd Downloads/ ( Or wherever the package is )
Then you can do : rpm -Uvh google-chrome-stable_current_i386.rpm

.

Ok, first of all; thanks a lot for your help with this.
I navigated to the right folder and found the .rpm and executed the command you gave me, this is the output:
rpm -Uvh google-chrome-stable_current_i386.rpm
warning: google-chrome-stable_current_i386.rpm: Header V4 DSA/SHA1 Signature, key ID 7fac5991: NOKEY
error: can't create transaction lock on /var/lib/rpm/.rpm.lock (Permission denied)

This was the one click .rpm from the google site. I saved the file in my downloads folder and went to it through konsole.
I didn't do this as root, for some reason I'm having a hard time navigating to the folder while in root.
As regular user I can get right to it.
I know its something I'm not doing right, I just dont know what it is and I feel like an idiot for not being able to fige it out.

Edit:
Sorry it's installing now. I went to file manager and navigated to the .rpm and rigt clicked on it and chose open with; then chose file installer and it went fine from there.
Once again thanks for your help and I'm gonna mark this thread as solved now.
