Question can't install adobe flash!

Whin i try to install adobe flash on ubuntu 9 on synaptic it says
Code:
Unable to get exclusive lock

This usually means that another package management application (like apt-get or aptitude) is already running. Please close that application first.

This message apears because it isnt allowed to rum apt/aptitude/synaptic more often than one time. You should close all your Terminals. Then try again. If it dont works, go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer and load the .deb package. then open a terminal and go to the directory where the package is stored. the run
Code:
dpkg -i nameofthepackage.deb
.
This should work!

DPKG should have the same restriction aptitude, apt-get and synaptic have.

I think it's the automated updater, updating your package information so you know when you can upgrade parts of your system. Check the tray icons, AFAIK this behaviour can be controlled from there.
