Can't Get Google Earth 5 to Start

I've downloaded Google Earth 5 to my Fedora 10 box (GoogleEarthLinux.bin) and run it to install. I have a "Google Earth" icon on my desktop. When I try to run it, I get a pop-up "Google Earth is unable to identify your graphics card..." and terminates.

I have a nVidia 8800 GTX card installed, and the latest version of nVidia's driver for Linux installed. I have a Dell 3007 monitor attached to the card. Everything except Google Earth is working as expected. The previous version of Google Earth worked fine on the same hardware when I was running Fedora 7 on the box.

Can anyone assist with how I might proceed from here? Google's help page doesn't seem all that helpful...

It's been awhile since I installed GE... but I remember some preferences related to using OpenGL or not, and a graphics safe_mode. Dont have access to GE at the moment, but perhaps you can looks through the preferences file, search for those terms, or re-install and watch for those options again...

How did you install the nvidia driver?

If you haven't used RPMFusion, check this Fedora 10 Guide. Both nvidia and google earth parts should help. There are some problems with SELinux mentioned in there you should take care of.

Thanks Axelfc - I installed the driver from Package Manager after installing the rpmfusion repo as described at http://www.fedorafaq.org/#yumconf. Since the original install, I have used yum update to install updates to the driver, after verifying they match the current/new kernel. I have SELinux disabled at present.
