Can't create DVD movie any more

Hi there,

I am using Ubuntu and I am getting desperate now, I can't create any working DVD movie disc any more. I used to use DVDstyler and DeVeDe for this purpose and both worked ok, although the apps keep crashing, I still manage to produce working DVD with some patience, but now both fail to work. DVDstyler created disc that unplayable, the menu is there but nothing happen when I click on it, where DeVeDe even worst only gives a blank screen, I used both many times before and all played well. All these happened since I upgraded to 12.04, any idea ?

On the other hand I am thinking about purchasing a commerical video authoring tool, such as Nero, I don't know if it is written for Linux or just a Wine app, any other such tools recommended ?

Update :

I tried the Windows version of DVDStyler on Win7, even worst, it not only can't create a playable disc, also does not accept files with non-English characters, where both my Linux and Windows are in English and Linux does not have this problem. I then remove all the non English files from the list and recreate the disc, this time the disc play well !! same result on both Windows and Linux, but this still does not fix my problem.

I checked the forums and found that, DVDStyler seems to have a limit of files on each menu, and I have 25 MP4 on 3 menus, now I reduce the files on the menus so that I use 4 menus instead, I recreate the disc and this time all files on the first menu play out well !! but I can't switch menu, the 'jump' action does not take place when I click on the button. I spent days trying to figure out what's went wrong but no luck, now I completely give up on this, DVDStyler used to be the friendest DVD Authoring tool to me, but now it completely mess up for unknown reason !!
