Hi all,
I need some help! I am trying to configure an FTP server using vsftpd 2.0.2 so that I can make use of the SSL functionality.
This is being done on a RH 9 box that doesn't have much else on it. It's running openssl-0.9.7b and the latest vsftp. I have configured builddefs.h to define SSL and have changed the tunables.c to set ssl_enable to 1. I then run make and move the appropriate files to their locations.
Basically, I have gone by Chris's instructions, but when I go to start vsftp in standalone mode or through xinetd, I get this message:
"ssl_enable is set but SSL support not compiled in"
I can't seem to find any answers! I did email Chris Evans and he said that it may be having trouble seeing the systems ssl header files...if that's the case, does openssl need to be configured differently (different location) or where I can make this change in vsftpd to point to the correct location?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Chris
