Hi-
I need to install e2fsprogs 1.34 to recompile my kernel to 2.6.2. The problem is that it won't compile on this system (Redhat 8). I was able to compile it just fine on a different system (running Mandrake 8.2) per the instructions in the INSTALL file. I've downloaded three different versions and it doesn't work at all on this system. Here is what I'm doing:

$ cd e2fsprogs-1.34
$ mkdir build; cd build
$ ../configure
$ make
...

What am I missing? I'm compiling with gcc 3.2 for what its worth.
