Can't Access Workgroup & Internet Together
Here's the situation:
I have the following items on a network: 1 Linux redhat 7.2 server 3 WinXP Pro PCs 1 Linux terminal The server requires that all PC terminals have specific IPs (Ex: 192.168.1.151). One of the PCs has DSL internet access that I want to share with the whole network. If I use the Network Setup Wizard to share the connection, it changes the IP address for that computer to 192.168.0.1. At this point, I can't access the server. If I change the IP to a manual setting of 192.168.1.152 the other PCs can't share the internet access. I run into the same problem on the other PCs. To share the internet connection, the wizard sets them to 192.168.1.72 (example). It seems I have to choose between sharing the internet or accessing the shop network. Is there any way I can set up the system to do both? Thanks! |
I'd suggest having the RH Server to have the
DSL connection :} Cheers, Tink |
yeah or set the server to issue 192.168.0.x ip's instead.
