Cairo Dock view folder contents
Hi. I installed Cairo Dock from the Ubuntu Software Center. I noticed one of the applets that was already added to the dock was "Shortcuts". When I put my mouse over it, a box opens up that displays some folders. Can I get this to happen to any folder that I move to the dock? Say I put the "pictures" folder onto the dock, how can I set it to display the contents when I put my mouse over it?

I was reading your post and trying a few things. I could not get the action to change on my home folder like it works on shortcuts. I do know that if you change the view in Cairo-Dock configuration to Parabolic it will make the entire dock behave that way. I personally do not like it. It becomes a large curve that takes up too much space. If I find anything else on this I'll let you know.

I tried all of the different views, with no success, so that's not the problem.

I figured it out. If you right click on the dock and go to Cairo-dock --> Configure --> Add-ons, you can select folders, and then drag a folder into this. If you right click on the applet, you can choose "Launch another instance of this applet", which allows you to have more than one.
