cache all objects


am using fedora core 5 as web proxy server , and am using the squid to cahes object to reduce bandwidth usage , but the problem am facing that the cahe is not caching all objects , for example if i download mirc it will be downloaded by the normal rate so if i downloaded againe it will be delivered from the server at speed of 2mg/sec but if i dowload any file from download.com or from snapfiles it will always downloaded with rate i have eaven if i downloaded twice or more
so there is a problem with my caching seting . could any body help .
